Jamia is being honored in Category 2: Delivering Simple, Seamless, and Secure Services for transforming how state and local governments deliver essential health and human services to people during some of life's most vulnerable moments. Drawing on two decades of public service experience, Jamia built and leads Deloitte's HHS & Labor Marketplace, bringing together policy, operations, technology, and AI to help agencies modernize access to Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, LIHEAP, child welfare, workforce, and housing programs.

Under Jamia's leadership, the Marketplace now supports more than 60% of U.S. states in delivering critical benefits. She has developed innovative programs addressing priorities such as SNAP accuracy and Medicaid community engagement while building partnerships that help agencies respond quickly to changing needs. Her leadership was especially critical in coordinating responses across more than 30 states to new federal requirements, helping agencies strengthen compliance and program integrity while reducing administrative barriers and maintaining continuity of essential services.

 

Jamia's work supports state and local agencies serving more than 110 million residents annually, helping people access benefits through simpler, more reliable, and increasingly integrated service experiences.
