The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is being honored in Category 2: Delivering Excellence in Digital Services for launching Trademark Center, a modern, user-focused platform that transforms the trademark application experience for hundreds of thousands of users each year.

In 2024, USPTO introduced Trademark Center to more than 500,000 applicants annually, revolutionizing how individuals and businesses file trademarks. Fully replacing legacy forms by January 2025, the platform was built through a deeply customer-centric process that emphasized continuous user testing, open beta access, and ongoing feedback - ensuring the final product aligned with real user needs.

Trademark Center delivers significant digital enhancements, including role-based access with ID verification, intuitive draft and docket features with auto-saving, and a transparent application cost calculator. Its guided workflows are tailored to both trademark attorneys and self-represented filers, and its mobile-friendly, accessible design ensures broad usability across devices and abilities.

To support adoption, USPTO coordinated product, communications, and outreach efforts, educating thousands of users through webinars, alerts, and dedicated resources that smoothed the transition from legacy systems.

With satisfaction and trust scores consistently above 80 percent, Trademark Center exemplifies excellence in digital service delivery. It makes trademark filing easier, clearer, and more accessible - empowering entrepreneurs, attorneys, and small business owners while enabling USPTO staff to process applications more efficiently and effectively.
