Vitoon Harusadangkul is being honored in Category 4: Using Innovative Technologies to Deliver Simple, Seamless, and Secure Services for modernizing how inventors, businesses, and legal professionals access critical intellectual property services. Facing growing workloads and fragmented legacy processes, the team implemented a unified, web-based platform that makes filing, managing, and accessing patent and trademark information faster and easier.

The modernization introduced mobile-friendly digital signatures, automated workflows, and real-time document conversion capabilities. Applicants and examiners can now securely review and sign documents from virtually any device, while automated routing and approvals reduce manual work, errors, and processing delays. These integrated technologies have created a more accessible and efficient digital experience while maintaining the security and accuracy required for intellectual property services.

The improvements have significantly expanded the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's operational capacity. The agency now processes approximately 6,000 patents per week for signature and 7,000–12,000 trademark approvals weekly, representing a 100% increase across key systems. Approximately 10,000 document conversions are also processed in real time each day. By replacing time-intensive processes with seamless digital services, Vitoon and the team are helping innovators secure intellectual property protections more quickly while supporting entrepreneurship, economic growth, and America's innovation ecosystem.
